Is it good to air dry long hair?

If your hair isn't brittle or fragile, it should be fine.

Due to the heat and everything, not really. Air dry is ideal in my experience whenever possible. People also suggest soft gentle towels and just wrapping the hair up for a little bit to let the fabric soak up most of the water and then letting it down to air dry the rest of the way. Blowdry is just mainly quicker and can help with some styling choices, otherwise shouldn't depend on it every time you shower.
