No they are not the same

PSL= A set of rating standards made by individuals in looks theory forums concocted to act as a basis of rating that differentiates from the usual 1-10 scale, centered around the Eurocentric beauty standard.
It is more so used to deduct whether a person fits to a Blackpill-made standard that relies on them looking as humanly perfect as possible, rather than their actual desirability.


Appeal= The sexual market value (SMV), or level of desirability of a person in the current dating and love market. Appeal factors do not only focus in on pure physical looks- social status, economic class, current looks preference and preferences of surrounding individuals are also weighed in.

A high appeal individual does not necessarily have high PSL, and vice versa.

Some silly on TikTok said that PSL=Appeal, I hear it all the time, but I don’t agree. Because someone could have high PSL but low appeal and then another could have low PSL but high appeal.
 
I think PSL is more of a scale of what makes you stereotipically attractive while appeal is more of like your overall vibe and how your features sit on your face. For example: Jordan Barrett technically has a very high PSL but most people agree he has a low appeal rate.
 
The higher on psl scale u are , the bigger chance u have for someone to be attracted to u. Appeal is subjective attraction , SMV- Sexual market value - height,personality,class, money
