When I talk about a model you probably have a picture in your head. A conventionally pretty face, tall, thin. But I feel like this idea is changing. You see more models who weigh close to 100kg (or more). If you say it's promoting eating disorders to have models that are underweight you have to call this a promotion of eating disorders as well. You cannot be healthy and obese.
Beauty standards are always changing but this is absurd. Those fat models don't look good and the word 'model' is loosing it's meaning. Back then it truly mend something to say 'You look like a model'. And now people say it to anyone. To be clear, I think I'm far away from a model too but my opinion still stands.

I used to go to fashion school. We had a local runway show and before I started going to that school the rule was only the people who were the most model like got to walk on the runway. When I went everyone had to walk the clothes they've made. In these cases I think it's good to let loose of the 'Model' idea. But this is a local runway where the designers and models are just some students.
There should be standards in the fashion world. I mean, there still are standards but a lot more loose. Now you have to include anyone because apparently it's healthy to be obese. Nobody wants to work on themselves it seems.
'body positivity' shouldn't be about telling people it's okay to eat till they can barely walk because 'everyone is beautiful'.

Why am I only focusing on weight? I think there are models with a variety of faces. Just don't be completely chopped and you'll be fine. Height is still important but there have always been a few models that aren't extremely tall. Being tall if a big plus but not a must in my opinion.

for commercial fashion sure there should be inclusivity but high fashion is meant to be exlusive and crazy pretty and skinny theres a reason they are called Victoria secret angels because thats something unreachable in every manner to a regular person

For regular clothes you should definitely use an average person. But high fashion should have standards like you've said
