Discussion Is this good parenting?

Based as fuck

For once this child should be thanksful to have a dad, and respect his mom
This is perfect parenting. I used to get whipped with a belt as a kid if I misbehaved. For some shit the punishment is justified.
I'm not sure if intimidating a child like that is good. No arguments given. Just barking orders at him and shouting. If he gets physical. He will just be obeying his dad out of a fear and once he becomes strong and independent enough he is going to be kicking his dad's ass. Disciplining a kid is different from intimidating him. Ground him for a week, take away his video games or whatever but intimidating and beating them up is only going to create an abuse-abuser cycle. There's a reason why whores, criminals and other low lives come out of abusive parenting. Having an abusive father is much worse than not having a father according to stats.

Abuse is when the punishment is unjustified. But if a child associates it with misbehaving, it will discourage them from repeating it. As long as the parent explains why it’s wrong the first time and follows up with punishment when necessary, it's fine.

I mean he's not abusing him, he just dared the young child to act as the alpha like he has done to his own mother. If he treats his mom like trash it's not a good start to let him do it. Plus it's still his wife so he defend his wife too

Not this one specifically but I was talking in general. He should have atleast explained it to him why he was wrong instead of challenging him like he was some kind of opponent.

Maybe im terra abused but i would be grateful to have someone explain why im wrong even if its yelling instead of being irrational and psychopathic

These little pieces of sh!t are well aware of what they doing. You don't disrespect your mother like that, it comes from a bad intention, especially if the mom have done nothing wrong. If they don't put him in their places rn later he will think he can do it to other people without consequences
