By 2100, about half of japan's population is projected to be 55 or older. This is a disaster in terms of demographics, since there will only be about 1.5 workers for every retiree.


(For comparison, a ratio of 5 workers per retiree is ideal)

This increased financial strain on the younger generation caused by increased amounts of pension costs relative to the workforce will further demotivate the japanese youth to have kids, like a self fulfilling cycle.

This is assuming Japan doesn't advance at all technologically (just lol) in the huge amount of time before 2100 to make work easier for the average person and with less people required. Either way, letting in as little outsiders as possible while fixing things up domestically is infinitely times better then already spreading your legs open for every foreigner and still going down the drain.
