You said that "real" progressivism would be an "aristocratic republic". First, the word "aristocratic republic" is an oxymoron. Second, whether you like it or not that is not progressivism, no matter how much you want to co-opt that word, it strictly refers to leftism.
Because western, liberal, democracies are known for being in "inferior underdeveloped positions". The only societies that "reject any opinion opposed to their own" are authoritarian and non-egalitarian ones, like North Korea. Western democracies have been constantly changing and evolving through nonviolent means since the 1700s, which should be a testament to how wrong this is.

No, aristocracy is not the "rule of the best" in the "interests of the common good", saying those things does not make thm true. This is the same logic every authoritarian uses and it never works. The leadership of Nazi Germany, the USSR, and North Korea also believe they were acting "interests of the common good" and were "the best" for the job, but it turns out they were wrong about a lot of things. You are living in a fantasy world, you believe if you give the right people all the power everything will work out. That's not progressive, progressive doesn't just mean whatever you think is good and will advance society. Progressivism is a specific sat of ideas that revolve around egalitarianism, something you seem to hate.

First, liberalism is the most economically and geopolitically successful ideology in history. Second, just because you think someone is wrong doesn't mean they actually are, this is why free speech is so important. A society without free speech is essentially just a society in which a randomly selected set of values which are endorsed by the government are allowed, and all opposing views are cracked down upon, that isn't productive because it just leads to an echochamber where the "retards" who just so happen to be in charge go unchecked.
