Hi, whenever I suck against my palate with my tongue to gather saliva and do the sweeping swallow (I think mike mew calls the part where you suck and gather saliva drawing a piston back in your mouth in his most recent and most viewed mewing guide video) my lips get sucked against my teeth. Is this normal? I have to open my lips slightly to break the seal everytime I do this.

All I read is you suck and swallow.
my tongue is suctioned so i bring it back like a piston like mike mew says, the saliva gets gathered in the bottom of my mouth, then i sweep and swallow. the problem is when i bring the saliva back my lips get sucked in as well

im 90% sure im doing it right. studied tf out of it

Whilst having your lips shut, you have to leave an opening mid swallow between the back third and the middle third of your tongue to keep the pressure low to be able to adjust the front third of your tongue without messing up the flow of suction. It’s hard to get but with about a month or so of practice you’ll get it fairly consistently.

No, natural selection will do its part then, I don’t have to give you anything else, it is as simple and coherent as it will ever get

i am getting the swallow correct. its the gathering of saliva that i have trouble with. i think its cause of my slight overbite tbh. i was practicing all day and i reduced the suction of my lips greatly so theres that

Shit I just figured it out and it kinda helps. Still not good enough tho I think it's my very slight overbite causing this like I said. Ah well
