You should try it , it is fun
I've been doing it for years , but since my health is not the best currently ; It is hard to get into a lucid dream easliy.
I'm already working on my health and sleep schedule to be capable of doing it again.
From personal experience , you should have clear mind and wide imagination to enjoy it.

have a super realistic imagination so i think i'll be good once i try it! it's hard to actually start the lucidity part though i have very tangible and vivid day/night dreams

If you want to have a better imagination , just read story books or watch some cartoons or some kids show that is drawn or animated ; not realstic ones.
