there’s this guy who wants to live forever young and flawless, he wants everyone to see him as perfect, untouchable, admired, envied, the kind of guy everyone wants to be around. he gets everything, beauty, status, money, parties, women, the whole world at his feet, but here’s the catch, he’s hiding who he really is. every cruel choice, every selfish act, every secret sin doesn’t leave him on his face, it goes somewhere else, somewhere hidden, so no one sees it but it builds up inside him.
on the outside he’s winning, looking untouchable, getting what he wants, but on the inside, the truth of his actions is accumulating, twisting into something dark, ugly, unstoppable. the more he lies to the world, the more he lies to himself, the more the hidden version of himself grows monstrous, a mirror of every selfish, violent, vain impulse he refuses to face. he’s terrified, anxious, disconnected, hollow, even as everyone envies him, even as he gets everything most people dream of.
the lesson is simple: you can pretend to be someone else, you can hide your shadow, you can chase status, looks, and praise, but your psyche remembers every lie, every betrayal of your own self. material things, fame, beauty, admiration, none of it fixes the fracture inside. the mask can last a while, the world can believe the lie, but the hidden self will always scream back, and sooner or later it destroys everything you built.
you can try to live perfect externally, but if you never face the truth inside, every win becomes a trap, every success a cage, and even when the world bows to you, you’re rotting from the inside out.
that's the kurt cobain pill, but it can also be yours, reader.
