I'm pretty sure there's universal understanding that a lot of men will do a lot of things just to sleep with the bottom of the barrel, but you should not want to be that bottom of the barrel. You should spend time working on yourself and socializing, not with the intent to date, but with the intent of growing as a person. You learn skills when you socialize, you define your personality, you're put in situations you wouldn't of been put in otherwise, you get to hear a perspective that isn't your own, and so on. That's how I read those comments; I don't think they're literally saying stand at like a Walmart and then get approached by men.
