What do you mean “dont plan for the future”

The people that are the most successful in life are the ones that plan ahead before they even need a plan.

For example: If someone wants to go to a highly renowned college with better connections: Then they will plan ahead much earlier and study for the SAT and get good grades so they have the best chance of getting into these college.

Other examples:

- Investing for retirement (RothIRA, 401k)
- Saving up for marriage before they even find someone they want to marry.
- Keeping their mental and physical health in good condition so it doesnt not deteriorate over time.
- Find a good, supportive and fun friend group so they are not lonely in the future.
- In college, they make connections and get into internships so they have better job prospects and experience before they graduate.

That is why the youthpill is overrated, because if you plan ahead and set your future up for happiness you will not grieve over your youth, rather look at it fondly with satisfication, but still be happy with your current life.

I say it's a shit pill due to the fact you aren't positively creating any type of reinforcement if you are thinking about past things you can't fix.

And say if you are 15 thinking about this pill what is gonna change? your mental health, this pill creates an entitlement to something no one is entitled too.

You aren't entitled to a girlfriend in teenage years, many people i know didn't date till after high school and are successful. So yes it might create some grounding growing up going thru a first love that will probably not even be love, but at the same time that shit rarely lasts and romanticizing something like this is just weird imo.

So say, if you do get into a relationship it's not always sunshine and rainbows, it's the flaws of another that you understand and treat with respect that makes a relationship build. And with this thought process you will think there is gonna be someone better because you romanticized and labeled a person with possible perfection and when they show flaws you run away thinking they are the wrong one.
