From his life experience where he has had basically two relationships he said woman want a strong partner.

When he told his gf he was on medication for anxiety she blew up on him saying shit like I'm already on it I don't need a partner on it!

So he's saying I made the mistake of honesty and confiding in my gf with my problems, which I do pretty frequently tbh. Because she'll look for someone stronger.

Opinions?

Your father has it wrong : being vulnerable is an ideal shit test to see how shitty your gf is really is
Ain't no way any sane women who have experienced life isn't aware that men can suffer, have negative feelings etc

Good luck keeping it all for yourself and dating a woman who get the ick if you're sick or got your leg broken lol
