I could've expressed/worded this better, but basically, I'm not denying Vitamin C isn't important. It's very beneficial for orthodontic treatment, and going slightly above the RDA to accelerate tooth movement is accurate. You trying to defame me as a low iq fraud, is disheartening. I trailed off, but my main claim again is that megadosing supplements that we get enough of in food is unnnecessary, I'm sure you can agree with that. After researching, upping dose of vitamin C and E as well as getting more Vitamin D is extremely beneficial, but I think it will still be marginally above an average intake.
TRUTH about supplements:
They aren't regulated by the FDA
Supplements pushed out by companies hence do not have to work
They are not pure, they are not individually the molecule that you seek out.
They are made using questionable methods
They can cause liver damage, doctors who work with the liver tell their patients to cease use of supplements before going in for liver work
There is a vast difference in the research grade supplements used for studies, and the ones pushed out in stores

I'm not saying you need to avoid supplements, but choose them wisely and realize that a food option for NECESSARY MICRONUTRIENTS is always superior. Things like creatine, can be mega dosed as seen with its benefits in muscle growth. NAC, l-theanine, other supplements are fantastic and cannot be found as in high doses as in food.
As proven in studies, Vitamin C is beneficial, but not megadosing. YOU NEVER HAVE TO MEGADOSE vitamin c or other essential vitamins. THAT IS MY POINT AND HAS BEEN MY POINT ALL ALONG. YOU CAN INCREASE THE DOSE ACCORDING TO CIRCUMSTANCE. DOCTORS GIVE THEIR PATIENTS VITAMIN D SUPPLEMENTS POST SURGERY FOR BONE RECOVERY. THE BENEFITS ABOVE THAT THRESHOLD OF REQUIREMENT ARE MARGINAL. HIGH DOSES ARE FINE, DEPENDING ON THE SCENARIO.

I never said vitamin c is cope. My claim is that megadosing Vitamin C with supplementation is cope. Focus on dietary Vitamin C and supplement if needed.

I was thinking and I think I will do it. Vitamin C is cheap as fuck and what you suggest seems to make sense.

It is unnecessary and may not work, like I said. It isn't research grade. I do see now that Vitamin C is highly beneficial I JUST DON'T THINK YOU NEED TO MEGADOSE SUPPLEMENTS. LOL

Really good thread.
I believe @HDm7CoQ relies too much on denial.
Good read."

THIS ISN'T DENIALISM. I AM NOT DENYING THE IMPORTANCE OF VITAMIN C. MY POINT OF POINTING OUT THE STUDY SHOWING LACK OF deficiency IS THAT IT MIGHT BE UNNECESSARY, AND THAT PAST A CERTAIN OBVIOUS POINT THAT IS NOT MEGADOSING, IS THAT DOSING VITAMIN C IS UTTER COPE. IT IS GOOD FOR SURGERY, RECOVERY, ORTHO, WTV BUT YOU DO NOT NEED TO MEGADOSE.

The caging gifs, were to say the least cringy. I'm not going to read your full thread. You make a lot of assumptions and go off of my main point. I don't want to debate this further, it's a waste of both of our times.

It is very good that one rectifies one's mistakes. Regarding my inelegant thread, it is simply because of this line from your first thread "that's a great start to misinterpreting studies for your own personal gain and cope." And I have never called you low IQ I said the thread was low IQ.

So should I do a megadose of vit c by combining supplements and foods?

You can consume higher doses if you want if you are undergoing orthodontic treatment, or surgery. If your levels are low, you could potentially megadose to quickly make them rise and return your treatment speed to normal levels, but you should lower them down to just a general high dose. A high dose should be more then sufficient, and yeah you can combine supplements and food.
