I thought merging account just gives you the oldest join date from the accounts you merged?

I honestly don't fully remember. I might have to try it out again. I thought the account you merge into is the one with the join date, but I could be wrong. I had a user complain about it but I didn't really keep note about the date. What you're saying would make more sense though.
