Fundamentally you want to live around people who have a stake in the community you‘re in. National politics is always removed from that since nobody cares about what the voterd want. Neither the politicians or bureaucrats+political movements are all controlled and infiltrated and those who go to elite schools with good connections get into the inner circle of parties. There they have to then turn a blind eye to all the corruption within themselves and their party. Generally speaking
