Neurotypical

Neurotypical
People who are β€œneurotypical” have brains that work in the way society usually expects. Their thinking, learning, and social behavior more or less match the common patterns most systems (like school) are built around.

The β€œdefault settings” brain. Works pretty much how society expects. Probably has a color-coded planner and actually uses it.

Neurodivergent

The β€œcustom firmware” brain. Might hyperfocus for six hours straight or forget what they were doing mid-sentence. Creative, chaotic, powerful energy.

People who are β€œneurodivergent” have brains that work differently from those common patterns. This includes things like ADHD, autism, dyslexia, Tourette’s, and more. It doesn’t mean something is β€œwrong”—just that their brain processes the world in another way.

Think of it like two different operating systems on a computer:

  • Neurotypical = the default OS most apps are designed for
  • Neurodivergent = a different OS with its own strengths, challenges, and ways of doing things

Nbernical

A whole new species of brain vibes. Completely fictional, completely unserious. Known for things like:

  • Randomly speaking in dramatic sound effects (β€œfwomph” instead of saying β€œI sat down”).
  • Remembering every lyric to songs they don’t even like.
  • Forgets their water bottle in every room they enter.
  • Claims to β€œwork best under pressure” but really just procrastinates until the deadline stares them down like a final boss.
  • Has strong opinions about cereal brands for no reason.
