I'd say find a person with similar features to you that you think is pretty and see how they do their make up, recreate it. Or just spend a whole day of trying things out to see what looks good on you. Just make sure you have the next day off so you don't have to see anyone in case your face reacts weirdly to the products

skin tints instead of foundation, if you have lighter eyes use a darker eyeshadow color, if you have darker, use lighter, blend with brushes
