Ever since I learned about the word simp I used to be in denial that I am indeed one, I used to suppress my simp urges, but I came to the conclusion it is quite unhealthy. I don’t understand why simping has become so demonized. The rise of the nonchalance is the death of passion. I hate people watering down themselves to make their personality more digestible for others. The nonchalant gimmick has plaqued the first half of the twentieth century but we have to let it go. Stop downplaying your achievements, and start trying to be great.

If that means you express yourself fully to someone that you like- there is nothing to be ashamed of. I wouldn’t want my partner to not care about me, I mean I’m not asking for worship but it’s an obvious choice to adore whoever I choose. “Simp” for only your partner though- don’t give big feelings to people who don’t deserve them.
