I feel like there's definitely a balance to be had, sometimes I realize I'd be a lot happier if I just wouldn't think about or know certain things. While I realize that this can lead to extreme coping mechanisms to cope with things, like idiots do, I think there might be a sweet spot between knowledgeable and choosingly ignorant.
I meet a lot of people that are scared of not knowing, but I feel like after leading that life after a while you loop around and realize it's not worth it.

Sometimes, but in the long run I do not think it is beneficial.

to what degree? i think its the other way around, that possessing knowledge too long can end up biting you

i agree to an extent
while you should pride yourself in the ability to want to gain more knowledge,
having too much of it makes you overthink and can end up harming you
however not knowing anything and being ignorant can make you get into uncomfortable situations where critical thinking is essential, but you simply do not possess the great ability of it.

i feel like living long enough youll learn how to properly address certain situations
and you might be able to be ignorant but also adept
i honestly just thought like
maybe its time to hang up the cloth on trying so hard to be smart
i wanna stop caring about stupid shit even though i know it sharpens me
i wanna be happier in the smaller moments with people without being concerned on my next step or theirs

I agree, it really depends on if the person can take all of that information.

Being willfully ignorant allows one to hop out of pressure, avoid being responsible. I don’t think unintentional ignorance is a problem, it’s just whether you decide on to educate yourself.

When you avoid the truth, it does not only affect you.

Sorry if I didn’t answer something I’m half asleep.
