this is my theory
both personality and looks matter in both genders, however if your looks are bad people arent going to put an effort into discovering your personality.
the reason why so many guys like her, is because they go to the same school and therefore are forced to know her personality despite of her bad looks which would have caused them to not pay attention to her personality hadnt they shared a classroom with her 5 days a week.
