The Earth is a cruel place
I can see sadness in every face
Most people are going trough it
For them life is not lit

Some even take their life
To escape the endless strife
Their hearts weighed down by pain
Drowning in the constant rain

I wish to be able to tell you that it gets better
That life will mend every broken tether
But sometimes the storms don’t cease to pour
And the weight feels heavier than before

Yet in the darkest hours, there's still a spark
A flicker of hope in the cold and stark
A whispered promise, a gentle plea
To hold on tight and wait and see
