You can practically post anything on Off-Topic so getting something off my mind can't hurt.

I want to be able to go outside more but I think my social skills are absolutely horrible. I look in the eyes of other people and wonder their thoughts of me which can typically be negative.

Any of the friends gained throughout the years are nothing like who I'd want to be which led to distance.

I'm 19 and still waiting for a connection that I have never had in my entire life. It's not that I haven't tried. As a matter of fact, years have been spent doing so and now it's tiresome. College was meant as an opportunity to step out and click in commonality with others. However, it's just disappointing. Guys are hard to befriend because you aren't viewed as a friend alone and female friendships often lead to competition or pure vent systems and nothing else.

I was recently invited to go to this small concert but the kind of people I'll be around scare me a little. I could do what's been done a handful of times and find a method of skipping out but life is short and it could be a massive regret. Still, I regret everything. Graduation was one of my worst memories, Prom was boring, and only one Homecoming was tolerable.

Not sure what it is or if there is something wrong with me.

Lmk when you get a solution bc I need one too

Nah thats chill. Just try and put yourself more out there. You can’t just expect some magical change to happen if you don’t change.

To get something you never had you have to do something you never did.

Second part is so valid but I'm honestly so tired of trying. Of course I gotta keep going but it's still insufferable
