Making this ranking made me realise just how stacked the history here really is. A lot of these can be interchanged and I grouped a lot of regions here, but I tried to make this unbiased as I am from Tunisia.

Portugal technically ain't even Mediterranean but genetically and culturally it is, and I am counting entire of Iberia and I can't lie, if you think about it Iberia were doing much in the Mediterranean their best history is in South America

levant should be at number 1 the phoenicans are arguably the oldest civilization to exist
