we need to change societal attitudes to help these people succeed if they fail instead of monitoring them
think about it this way
if a person commits suicide they lack some quality that makes human life enjoyable
if they have kids they pass those tendencies down to the next generation
so euthanasia would help trim the gene pool and make society on average happier for everyone

Letting people end their own life limits what they could have contributed to society or the ability to change their situation.

So it would be immoral since the person isn’t in the right headspace and may have regretted it when they get better.

it matters more if we get the average right
so before euthanasia, we should consider whether they are likely to contribute to society more than they will take
if we estimate that it is negative we should proceed with euthanasia
