It depends. You need to get the right wavelength and it needs to be close to your skin. The problem is so many products are scams, so I don't know which ones will work best. I suggest doing research into the products, but to my understanding it works pretty good. It's not a perfect science but it doesn't hurt to do.

but I consider that it is much better to sunbathe for at least 30 minutes especially the sunset as it has more red and infrared rays.

the infrared rays hit our skin and through the blood circulation has anti-inflammatory effects on the whole body

if you get one dont do a mask, theyre trash, plus you can use it not only on ur face but a lot of places
