At first, when I watched *Thirteen*, I thought it was a very hard and shocking film. I couldn't stop thinking about how the girls in the movie were going through such difficult experiences at such a young age. I was sure it was the toughest movie I had ever seen. But after watching Christiane F., I felt it hit me much deeper. This movie hit me in a different way – it was much darker, much more realistic, and I felt that the consequences of what happened to the main character were much more severe and irreversible.

Christiane F. is based on a true story and tells the life of a 13-year-old girl from Berlin who falls into a world of drugs and prostitution. The film depicts her descent in a very harsh way, with no room for innocence or illusions, showing the real loss she experiences.

The book, in contrast to the film, delves deeper into the character’s psyche and provides a broader understanding of the events and emotions she goes through. If you want to fully understand the story, it's better to read the book.
