do you think it's okay for a man to reject a girl who's a SA victim because he doesn't want to deal with the traumas and emotional issues that she carries from it?

side note: I will say in most cases of someone not wanting to be with a SA victim, it's usually for a much more shallow reason like them just seeing them as ruined or lesser, not something like them being actually concerned about the person's mental health

edit: the reason why i'm asking this question is because I wouldn't mind dating someone in such a scenario, but I know i'm not a emotionally mature person, so I don't think I'd be able to be there for the person and fulfill their specific needs

Yes it’s okay a man to reject her

I had a gf that wouldn’t stop sh and starving herself, fellas PLEASE and I mean this PLEASE DATE A MENTALLY WELL GIRL, lowers stress, lowers cortisol and the bullshit you don’t have to deal with

Yes, it's like the same as not wanting to date someone with PTSD, it's a lot of baggage not everyone would be able to deal with it tbh.

Id rather fucking death than date a girl who was sexually assaulted if i was a man
Have fun waiting for her to wake up from 18 hour naps while ‘doordash’ texts her “i miss you”
boi you aren't a SA victim and look at your ahh, we lose out either way as men

ok so I’d say it depends on how severe they’re behavior is but in general no. Usually even just being aware of it and being there for them is enough, you don’t have to act like their therapist. Obviously you can still set boundaries though because I do think there are a lot of people who will use their past or mental problems as an excuse and that’s just not valid. They have to also be willing to improve. Like obviously an extreme example if someone has bpd and is cursing you out any sec for whatever you do then that’s nearing abuse and is obviously not ok. This is coming from someone who had mental illness before and also my one ex who was severely depressed. Specifically for SA victims I don’t think there’s commonly any horrible behavior that’s worth rejecting them for other than them maybe wanting to take it slower.

Idk tldr there has to be a specific bad behavior that they’re unwilling to fix and not just a diagnosis

if that's the only reason then no
you should be willing to support a person who has gone through something like that especially if they are your partner

yess i think it’s okay, because if he dates her but doesn’t know how to deal with her trauma, it can be even worse, so the best option is probably to reject her.

the only good answer here instead of villainising and mocking someone for something out of their control

Im a SA victim from a t****y but i look good on the outside, no worries

I think its really tricky. I was diagnosed with PTSD from this and while its something that doesn’t really go away, I’ve put a lot of work into being a stable person and not letting it effect me. The question seems more like “is it okay to reject someone that’s unhealthy” which I think is normal, but the assumption that all victims are unhealthy is kind of a slippery slope that could lead to what you mentioned about guys who reject girls purely because of the fact they’ve been SA’d. I think that in any case if you truly like/love somebody, helping them through the issues they have is par for the course so long as you’re not detrimentally hurting yourself in the longterm. Unfortunately SA is very common so a lot of women have trauma associated with it.

It’s all up to knowing what you’re emotionally equipped to deal with, and there’s no shame in telling someone that you don’t think you’d be the right person for them/their growth but you have to be very tactful with it.

I agree with what you said for the most part

about the part with knowing how emotionally equipped you are, like I said in my case I know I'm a immature person and even though I wouldn't mind dating a person who has dealt with SA i'd just be afraid I wouldn't know how to be there for them with all their needs

i mean i did

but it was because she told me she lied about being sa'd by her ex

didn't want to get in a similar situation

But I think if she was really, then its very case dependant and hard to say generally

kinda relatable

i don't think i can say here tho
dw son every e-girl on this forum is into choking and some weird bondage shi nowadays your good

its fine if the guy isn’t mentally well or is not able to afford any more stress which is understandable but otherwise idk

Yes
Because she most likely trauma dump but on you and you'll be obligated to deal with her mental health issues, lack of any intimacy and the unconscious hate she will have toward men, you included. Plus it's not your job to prove her that men can be good humans and it's not your job to fix her.

It's a whole other story if it happens during the relationship tho

boringggg I thought you were gonna be a girl boss feminist and she he should date her regardless
