I presume I'll just be calling into the void with this one, but regardless I'll leave my thoughts here. (This'll also tie into looks slightly.) I don't remember the last time I've gotten a decent night's rest. For my entire life—though I can enter a state of sleep relatively easily—I've suffered instead through lack of sleep quality. By this I mean I have intense nightmares close to every night, with the exception being of course not dreaming at all in my sleep. On average I wake up 2-8 times in a single night and, once or twice every month or so, I am paralyzed wherever I'm sleeping for what feels like hours in my head. When these episodes occur, very rarely are there visually hallucinatory attributes, but they prove to be distressing nonetheless. Touching again on the nightmares though, considering they're the most commonly-run-into issue and potentially also the most detrimental; they are reoccurring. Worsening. I won't dive into any insane specifics, but 2 years ago my dad died and they've been somewhere in regards to that. Maybe other things get thrown in the mix sometimes. To cut a long story short, I've had nightmares for as long as I can remember and they've always taken over my life, ruined my health and have even tainted my looks (not like there was much room for further tainting in the first place.) I've tried everything I know of to relieve myself of some of the burden, but to no avail. Meds, sleep positions, white noise, aromatherapy, weighted blankets, lullabies, fucking counting sheep...et cetera. I know I just spent 15 minutes typing out shit nobody cares about and if I miraculously do happen to get a reply it's just gonna be some guy telling me to go back to Reddit, but I digress.
