I used to not take the status pill seriously cause I was a hardcore lookist and believed looks could override things like NT and money etc, but social status does compete with looks for sure, btw I don't mean being a celebrity or anything per say, more like social groups and stuff

if your black you'd notice this the most, where i'm from a guy could be good looking but if he's not hood or not popular with community social circles he basically gets little to no female attention

now obviously there's still nuance to this, it will always be 1000x times better to be a good looking nobody than a ugly nobody, you could still get attention from non-nt and nerdy women
