You do not possess ideas, ideas possess you.
Chair. The chair is not just a physical phenomenon. The chair is also the manifestation of a current of artistic and architectural thought, and is used and produced within a productive, economic and social context. It is - like absolutely everything existing within the spaces created by humanity - 100% ideological; the physical world of cities is the manifestation of the imposition of the world of ideas over the material world.
The currents of thought expand, gaining dominance and imposing their ideas on cities, governments and people: which philosophers decided the principles of our constitution that define what you can do? Which designer will conquer the fashion world by deciding what clothes you can buy to wear? Which moral philosophers will conquer you? Ah, phenomenology focuses a lot on the intentionality of the mind itself, here is the intentionality of ghostly minds! These inventors “fight” to see who will phantasmagorically govern societies: they invent ideas that are appropriated by people, but what people do not know is that they are not the ones taking advantage of the ideas and objects that carry these ideas: we do not possess the ideas and the representations of the objects, it is the ideas and their context that possess us. We are mere bodies capable of functioning as arms and mouths of ideas.
The creators are conquerors who expand throughout the social universe, influencing the creation of new governmental regimes – and consequently, the death and life of billions of people – controlling people’s interpretation of the world and, consequently, how people act: their ideas possess people.
They die, but the ideas remain and continue to war, as if their creators were the undead who control the world with an “invisible hand”.
If you do not want to be dominated by these luciferators, start creating and sharing your own ideas. Otherwise, it will be their ideas that will possess you; possess yourself and do not be a disciple of any thinker.
But of course you can read this, agree with me and still be trapped under the philosophical influence of someone like me. Start being your own man now; criticize me, expand on my ideas and do better.
Don't be just another repeater of ideas, as is the case of countless philosophy lovers I have met. How can they defend the process of synthesis, antithesis and thesis, and yet not improve not only their own thoughts, but also the thoughts of their favorite philosophers? Life is too short not to develop your own philosophies and ideas. Those who do not have their own minds do not have distinct qualities and are, therefore, indistinguishable within the social mass. Thus, since there is no difference in production between a reader and a non-reader, the reader is considered as dead as the non-reader. Please live more heroically, surpass yourself, bring out your originality and fight against existing ideas by creating new philosophical currents; be like Plato: become a living dead.
