@milkjar, do you not understand what your dear friend here is admitting to doing? People with strong morals will not deem him worthy of empathy because it's almost illogical to do something like that knowing it's not good (in their heads.)

What he did is weird, even if he didn't do anything to spark it, he watched, maybe laughed and giggled.

No one is narcissistic by nature unless diagnosed, you are sitting here not doing shit but just agreeing with the people that are helping me, @Kaari, @tuberculosisinmybal.

Only people that see struggle will understand his even if it's down right depraved, instead of talking a load of ass, text your buddy.

wise words from a 5'4 in new rocks individual. heartwarming

trvthnvke

I did tell him horrible things but it's how I felt towards his actions, maybe in a little bit of rage but I said what I said. As someone extremely close to him, you shouldnt be adding fuel to his fire and work towards helping him especially since you are NOT an "childish insentient ethnic without any kindness or morals"

Morality is only lip service to be honest, most people hide behind the veneer of it to use it as an excuse to rip people apart when they do something defined as wrong in a given social circle

either way the guy needs help and we’re doing him no favours

I agree to disagree, i've valued morals by learning them, but i'm openminded to helping others if it's not murder etc.

Morals do lead some to act insufferable, but at the same time do they have a reason to hold back when someone is doing something as depraved as that? We are doing him favors, this behavior isn't good and if he has respect for me like he said. He will see this and understand he made a mistake HE can FIX.

I didn't know that they were friends, why is he adding fuel into his psychosis for nothing shit is weird ngl. It was more important for him to jester here for reps than to care for his friend

ah sorry I meant it generally like you know how people say they’re moral but when given the chance to rip someone apart they’ll go for it you know what I mean

Having true morals is important but sadly most people do not possess virtue, just social standards they have to adhere to

Also understanding, if you don't understand someone then you will judge them. I'm proof of it. Without understanding, there is no empathy or if there is it'll just be moral posturing/virtue signalling.

Reminder that @milkjar says he is black.
Probably just self-hating, projecting and being downright hypocritical.

Couldn’t agree more

Myself personally I don’t care for the social adherence to the facade of morality, but I’m actually quite empathetic as I believe most people do fucked up things due to being pushed to by circumstances

and besides we all have a degree of being considered fucked up in ways, ostracising people will in no way shape or form help someone with said thoughts, rather compassion and understanding someone is the best solution in terms of helping someone generally

I’m in a rush to articulate myself but you get the idea

extremely hypocritical and just likes to use ad hominem's and type up a bunch of bullshit passive aggressively. he kinda fits his own critieria of "insentience"

Exactly, and this is the scary part. It’s easy to preach morals when there’s nothing at stake, but if you give people power or anonymity, their real personakitie comes out. Thats why you can't trust most of the people telling you their morals, only based on their actions you can believe them.

And real virtue isn’t loud. It is the quiet decision to do the right thing even when no one is watching you doing it and sadly, most people aren not built for that, they do it to look better in front of other people.

It's because everyone's morals are subjective, no body has the same ones so everyone can argue for hours over it.

True true true but it always gets to a point, you can't immediately forgive or turn a blind eye to someone doing horrific acts just because they had a bad past but you can understand why they do it. It's hard because there is always a grey line.

Just TLDR: Like everything is always/mostly subjective tbh

Emphasis on this, I just believe most people can be rehabilitated if they’re treated better and are actually given a chance to repent is all

I agree with all your previous points tho btw

Easily or i would be dead in a ditch
Why I’m fucked up the way I am is also due to the fact I wasn’t given a chance to repent and got pushed into being more aggressive to cope with the treatment I receive so I see myself a lot in dip

Most people genuinely can, but our whole society and system is sadly fucked up, people who do bad just get thrown into a cell and rot there instead of getting the help they need, and people who act weird like he did get treated bad by society instead of getting him proper help to get out if that situation

Yea you get me sorry not shooting down your points just in a rush to type everything is all
It's chill, it is unironcally really good to see how different people are and how this translates when it comes to their judgement of characters. Fun convo.

Yeah I agree

It’s just nice to actually see humanity in people for a change (not just here but this world in general), does warm by heart if I’m honest with you as I’m glad some people aren’t conditioned to the black and white thinking of morality which is so widespread which is easily maladjusted which causes a cascade of issues in this world but hey ho that’s a different rant

Tldr nice talking to you too

What actually happened? This whole thread is dicksucking eachother about abstract morals and virtue like it's a well defined thing.

no shit it's not well defined, thats why the person needs to define their own.
