And yes, some industries also rely heavily on cheap African labour and raw-material supply chains; removing them would mean massive price increases and supply disruptions, not “nothing happens.”

At the same time, many African countries have been heavily held back by corruption, political instability, exploitation and terrorism. That doesn't mean the continent has nothing to contribute.

The “Africans are lower IQ” argument doesn't prove genetic inferiority when millions had limited access to quality education, healthcare and nutrition, with many forced to leave school early to support their families. You can't compare unequal conditions and call the result genetics.

And “whites helped Africans through colonialism” conveniently ignores forced labour, land theft, massacres, r**e, exploitation and stolen artefacts. That's not humanitarian aid.

Whites also didn't create African civilization. Africa already had Kush, Aksum, Mali, Songhai, Benin, Kongo, Great Zimbabwe and countless other societies before European colonialism. This is literally the continent where Homo sapiens originated.

Yes, colonial rule introduced infrastructure and institutions in some places, but that doesn't make Europeans responsible for African civilization. Colonial systems were largely built around extraction and control, and in many places helped create the political and economic conditions that later fed corruption and instability.

So “without Europeans Africa would be behind” is an impossible counterfactual. Colonialism changed Africa; it didn't create it.
