Is it ungrateful to not want or like gifts?

I appreciate the gesture, but the items are rarely my taste, they take up space, and I feel like I can’t get rid of them without being rude STOP GIVING ME SHIT

No I completely agree, I think it’s honestly rude when sometimes you will be asking for something and then they just get you something totally unrelated. Like atp just don’t get me anything at all. I get lowkey mad instead actually cause it’s a waste of money and now I just have this useless item to either sit in my house gathering dust or end up in a landfill.

I dont like getting gifts sometimes because it makes me feel entitled to overly gratitude a gift I might not yearn for then it makes the other person feel me bad if I say a sarcastic thank u
