I was supposed to go to my friend’s remembrance ceremony today
I overslept like a fucking piece of shit
I set 5 alarms on my phone because i know im a deep sleeper and need it right next to me for me to hear it and wake up
My mom moved my phone halfway across the room so i didnt wake to any of the alarms
Then she comes home after going to the beginning of his ceremony (she’s never fucking spoken to him) and tells me how everybody is there and i should come
I told her it was disrespectful to show up late and how i felt like a pos
Then she started going on about how everybody is there without a single care for why they’re actually there
And i got mad at her for wanting me to be there just so people can see me there instead of wanting me to be there because my friend is fucking dead
Then she said she said some bullshit like “they’ll laugh at you not me” in reference in how people would see it
What the fuck is wrong with you?
You didnt even know him you virtue signaling piece of shit
You only care how people perceive you
I dont need to be there to mourn him
You just go to look better
Using a person’s death to be perceived better what the fuck is wrong with you
That line really set me off but she left promptly after as i was yelling about how shitty that one line was and didnt even take me
