Now, in the modern era, with the rise of pacifism, liberation, and socialism, a more ‘feminine’ outlook has risen, emphasising the principle of civility, rather than using violence as a means to an end.
However, due to the imprint violence has had on human ideals of masculinity since the beginning of time, such desire for beneficence and ethics has been portrayed as emasculating and weak, consequently leading to an uprise in obsession with death and violence as of recent times, more so than the past due to the suppression of such desires.
