A bit of context for the newbies here.
@choripan is the forum's femboy , even won best femboy , back in October. He is a self-proclaimed weeb with a deep passion for anime, often referencing his favorite anime characters under threads and relating them to other users .He's a tsundere hunter (Tsundere (ツンデレ, pronounced [t͡sɯndeɾe]) is a Japanese term for a character development process that depicts a character with an initially harsh personality who gradually reveals a warmer, friendlier side over time.) labeling the mean users on this site as tsunderes. "Hmph!"
A dedicated shipper ,Choripan loves pairing users together ,whether it's legal or not, his favourite ship tends to be users that dislike each other.
Outside of his weebness, Choripan is known for his unique and expressive use of reactions, having the habit of only using the wide-eyed "Wow" or the soft and affectionate "Aww" reaction, showing his delight and admiration.
This consistent use of reactions has received mixed emotions from other users, leaving the forum divided. While some users find this use of reactions endearing and cute, apprecating the positivity and enthusiasm they bring to the forum, others dislike it perceiving as annoying.
Despite that Choripan remained an active and cheerful member in this community feeding our dopamine receptors...
...Up until November 19 when choripan self-banned from the forum.
That's when picked up this habit of mainly using the "Wow" reaction ( with the expection of my own threads and some funny posts) since I felt like that reaction specifically represented Choripan the most.
note the similarities
USERS' REACTIONS
This change caught the attention of users very quickly, sparking some interesting reactions from the community.
Most users joking teased me about possibly being Choripan's alt account, even going as far as calling me a "gay femboy" as they noticed a similar pattern in behavior. Others enjoyed it , humorously commenting how it felt like Choripan returned or even picking up the habit themselves.
However , not everyone appreciated the mimicry.Same users that were already irritated by Choripan's signature reaction style, started getting annoyed at me as well , for adopting the same approach. Having users begging me to ignore them.. or even to go as far as to call me a "n****r".Leaving a very tense and uncomfortable feel under my profile.
THE EFFORT
..Very annoying way to rep.
THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE "WOW" REACTION
This by far has to be my favourite thing about the "Wow" reaction.
Only worked with newbies since they had no context, the "Wow" reaction, would have some confused ,giving me the ability to leave some wondering. In moments where I would converse with a user, I could simply drop the convo , giving a passive "Wow".Nobody knows if I agree with a user or not it's just a "Wow".
FINAL WORDS
脳を吹き飛ばしたかった~
Tldr; @choripan is a femboy and bullying him is lowkey excusable.
