At least in America, there's almost no reason to get legally married, at any age really. Any benefits a marriage would provide is mainly tax-based, not even tax benefits just filing y'alls taxes. Everything else can be covered with a Power of Attorney, a will or medical derivative. At least those things you can override whenever you want and not pay for an attorney to undo it.

If you're asking about settling down, then I would just do it whenever you feel ready. You'd know. You wouldn't question "Is she the one?" - It would just be a simple "That's the one. I'm ready." kind of thing.
