I'd assume that he has above average spatial awareness and a good level of athleticism. Although his success could probably be attributed more to tenacity than any inherent "gift".

Which have probably been honed by a lot of practice. I don't deny that he's gifted, but to include him in a list of "most gifted people to ever live" is almost laughable especially seeing as sports aren't beneficial for the advancement of human evolution.
