Yeah, cause it was the Portuguese out of the Christian Empires who first began looks/colour based slavery and colonialism. Then the Spanish followed. But these two were always aligned with Northern Eurasia and had more Northern Eurasian cultural influences than Italy or the rest of Mediterranean "Europe".

But eventually their racial theories became less essentialist than the British or Germans; they realised they weren't "pure" themselves.

even if it's a socialcontruct only (which isn't true), it still doesn't mean that muh there's no race. it still does exist, you lack basic knowledge in ontology. and JFL at saying "muh essentialism" n***a if you aren't essentialist then your words mean nothing because no essence behind them, they are basically meaningless

Trust me there is racism even within asian countries and no not only in a colourist manner but they do target certain groups or tribes even though they may look the same to a foreigner. Humans they discriminate over anything.
