Why are nearly all pills white

Colours looks better and that will probably make more people addicted to pills
 
Like literally nearly every single pill I take is white, even the ones I use to sleep at night are white, why don't they colour them like blue or purple?
Human psychology, pharmaceutical companies study it to see what pill colors humans are most likely to want to take. I guess people associate white with healing or painkilling
