why are people so mean to NDs

in my prev class there was this guy with autism i think, he always got beaten up, slapped bullied just for it. Now, theres a group of girls in my class and my 'friend' literally made a whole new group js without them because they look 'autistic' to her. I remember one of them smiled at my friend and he was all like why is she so creepy. I feel bad
