Why are people such glazers? Both irl and online, but more the latter

firstly online: I don t post on social media, but i was posting on reddit in subs about phenotypes or fashion. The glazing was insane. They aren't even compliments dedicated subs.
IRL: I am not very social so the only interractions I have are 99% school related, but even those people are glazers. Some classmates were talking about hairstyles so I introduced myself in the convo and asked them if I would look ok with short hair(wanted to cut it dye thinness) and showed them the hairstyle. In the pic it happened to be a model. They told me: "honestly we prefer long hair in general, but you two have similar features so you could pull it off". Today I was talking with a cousin and she brought up the celeb alike trend on tik tok with chat gpt. We both did it and when I was complaining about how stupid chat gpt is she was telling me he was right for me
Or a few days ago my mom met an old friend and despite I tried to escape, the woman told her "is this your daughter? She is stunning" couldn't she have used a word like nice or cute?

I am sick of glazers...theh give people false hopes. Imagine if I took some of the stuff I was told seriously and went to a casting or something. I would have been HUMILIATED.

Women Glazzing Women : Don't want you to improve so they keep the competition in check with fake compliments

Men Glazzing Women : Just to smash you, but compliments will be more honest imo

But in your case it maybe can be not glazzing since you're an objectively good looking woman. Being High-MTB is a wild score it's not like you was a fattie or subhuman, in this case yes you'll be glazzed a lot
