Most of the sites are melting pots anyways

It's legit equivalent of a ruddy pink red white and blue blooded 'Murican screaming for his country and to keep others out and keep it the way it's meant to be

Just be a nomad and interact with the people you like and work well with and ignore the sitealitionism (nationalism, but site, get it?!)

I feel you, usually it’s the .is crowd who are like that

They’re different breed of unhinged over there tbh, heard some crazy stories about some of the users there lmfao

It occurs everywhere. LooksTheory and BP Club as well as Neets hate looksfags, incels is overlaps with Looksmax a bit, more tolerance, .com is hated by all of them so I guess they have some uniting ground

Ecochambers are probably the best phrases but it's not even accurate, there's so many people with different ideas, being an internet nomad is the ideal existences if you are gonna use the internet consistently. also the fact that none of exists if you cut the power cord. that fact keeps me grounded

especially with the last part that’s bang on, people need to be reminded of that

like in my case ofc like all of us I grew up on the internet as a teen and I prioritised my ‘online friends’ as they were more convenient for me in terms of not having to work as hard socially, big mistake and I missed out on a lot of crucial experiences I should’ve had growing up, one of my biggest regrets

TlDR for this whole thread people need to go with the flow and dabble in the grass touching and sunlight

I've never gotten happy chemicals from like being apart of a team or side or anything so I never understood why it matters. I understand having preference and y'know based off of the country analogy I understand finding a place to set as your 'home' but I'd never go out of my way to argue about another site.

.com and .org have their own merits. Be on both or be on one if you prefer, but being territorial is just goofy.

Yeah better late than never also to do so, I’m on my own these days but when I’m not lurking on here I’m out in my garden planting stuff, I’m growing all sorts of things I’m really looking forward to

Life is much better now, nature is bliss

Well put bud

Yes people sometimes ask me why I left site x to use site y in some like defensive tone

How in the friggin' fudgecakes am I supposed to respond to that? It is what it is

Also when someone talks like that in general, it's a massive ew moment

To me, one of the biggest pleasures of the Internet is it's diversity and variety in regards of website/software/games/etc options. The Internet has dramatically changed even since from my childhood let alone since the 90s and so on, but I still feel like this sentiment is still true.

Why restrict yourself to one option?
