In a world of uncertainty and solitude why should you care what anyone else thinks or what can kill you? Want to smoke? Smoke anyways. Want to drink? Drink too. Want to do something you regret you go do that, but live life with pride and acceptance that whatever you do everyone ends up in the same destination no matter if you are a billionaire or a bum. Just do what you want, success isn’t monetary. it’s merely a way of saying you are happy you have lived to the fullest. I mean dude I gotta bet some guy living on a boat somewhere in the Mediterranean is probably 10x more happy then someone on Wall Street and that guy on Wall Street is to most more “successful”

I could have fantasies about murdering someone and know not to go through with because of the consequences. I wouldn't feel bad about the action, I would perhaps enjoy it, but know going through with it would make it not worth it.

What was I meant to infer? You're just restating something I already addressed. My point is that if you genuinely want something, then whether you're willing to accept the consequences tells you how much you actually want it. If the consequences are enough to stop you, then avoiding those consequences is a stronger desire than doing the action. Nobody is forcing you to choose one or the other

Firstly I am not denying the existence of consequences, nor am I suggesting that someone should be thoughtless. What I mean is that people spend too many years of their life caring too much because of judgment.
Consequences are very important. The thing is that every choice involves sacrifice, and it is up to you to decide which means more to you.
If there is something you desire but the consequences stop you from obtaining it, this just shows that avoidance of consequences is more important to you than the action itself.
