Discussion Why do girls want to be friends with guys?

Any guy I've ever met understands that they don't wanna be friends with women, but for some reason women think they can be friends with men. Why do they think this way? Is it purely for validation?

Friendship at the end of the day is all about what you can benefit from the relationship. Men (unless low test goblins) will always want to get close with an attractive women purely for sex or a relationship.

but honestly agree i don't think it can ever be 100% platonic

Well, they don't have many disadvantages in doing so. While males tend to make friends because of common interests, so do females, more or less, but simply a shared environment is enough. Another, more important thing to keep in mind is that females are almost always trusted by males, so they have the opportunity to “exploit” them at little or no cost.

Idk man i'm still friends with my school female friends, until 2 of them literally ghosted me once i was in a relationship

I tried to be friends with my gf's female friends but she got beef with one of them because one accused me of "lovebombing" my gf

My former female bestfriend started to ignoring me back then when i was close with an another female friend (it was 10 years ago)

I'm affraid they just like your attention and nothing more

Makes the most sense. I made this thread because I met this girl the other day who resembled my type pretty well. (Light blue ish eyes, blonde, dimorphic, low htb) so I got the snap but I got word from a buddy of mine who was talking to her friends that she was thinking it'd be more friend like and not to start something. Which is dumb to me, why else would I ask?
