Why do I gain weight when I’m on a diet but am my skinniest when I eat alot

Watch your caloric intake meticously
 
no explanation for this other than when you're on a diet you eat very calorie dense foods, and when you're at your skinniest you eat a lot of calorie sparse foods

you could also be moving around more when not on a diet which leads to you burning more calories

i find that when im on diet im lower energy which makes it harder for me to go gym and actually makes my diet less effective
