you still probably want to be loved though. Love is very important evolutionarily as humans are a cooperative species. If connection with other humans makes us feel good, humans will be more likely to cooperate, and therefore survive as a species. If you are asexual, the desire to be loved does not go away. You still feel oxytocin and dopamine and whatnot from human connection, the sexual aspect is just taken away, meaning little desire to procreate but a persisting desire to form relationships
