with things that don’t benefit me
it’s like denial in a way?, my brain tells me “there will def be a different outcome, keep trying” but like deep down i know there won’t be, it’s cursed to be the same
i don’t understand, i don’t expect anything in return rlly but when the outcome is the same it makes me sad

Sounds like sunk-cost fallacy and a mix of something else.

It’s the paradox of hope you walk the same path knowing it leads nowhere, yet the possibility of a different ending seduces you into returning. The sorrow comes not from the failure, but from watching yourself believe again. And finishing with a quote by my dear old friend.
