So I attended an interview today scheduled for 11.15am. I get there at 11.05 and check in with the receptionist, she shows me to a room and asks me to wait there and informs me the interviewer will only be another ten minutes. No problem im early anyways.

It gets t0 11.30 and I'm wondering what has happened. I try to find the receptionist and cannot find her, there are other workers there who give me odd looks but don't offer any help. I decide to sit back down and wait a bit longer as there may be an emergency. I wait until 11.45 now it's 30 minutes passed schedule and I'm annoyed. Nobody has even been to see me to inform me why there is a delay or what is happening.

I try again to find the receptionist with no success. I decide to wait more. It gets to 12.05 so I've been sat there an hour at this point, and it's 50 minutes passed the scheduled time. I decide to email the company and inform them I've waited nearly an hour and there's been no communication as to why I've been sat there waiting so long. I walk out and get a call as I'm driving home and don't answer as I'm driving.

They call me again at 25 past 12 and I answer. They inform me they are ready for me now. No explanation and no apology. I inform them I have left the interview as I've been waiting an hour without any communication on their end. They say I can still come back and make the interview. I decline and say I am no longer interested.

Why do employers not realise I'm interviewing them also. If they can't be professional at interview stage why would I want to work for them? Waste of my own time. Just a little rant as I've never experienced this before. All it would take was for someone to come out and inform me if there's been a delay.
