why do people shit on smith machine so much? may not be able to do PRs but doesnt look bad for building muscle

smith machines are awesome, smith machine incline press is my fav chest exercise
 
Smith machine is gay. If you are going to work out, I wouldn't recommend it. Limited range of motion, unnatural assisted movement on a fixated path, reducing your use of stabilizing core muscles, and therefore, training without building functionality.
